Our stay at Hotel Navona was absolutely fantastic. We booked two superior double rooms, which were great. Decent size, extremely clean, had everything we needed for our stay. Beds and pillows were very comfortable. The staff was above and beyond in tending to our needs. Friendly, polite and aimed at quickly solving any request we had. The building is a normal roman building, old, not at all spacious but there in lies also the charm. Don't forget you are in the center of Rome and everywhere you look you see such buildings. Nothing to complain about. You are literally two streets away from the Pantheon, steps away from Navona Square. All around you have restaurants, shops and stores, not to mention the sites that are all close by. As an added bonus, just around the corner are the Italian Senate buildings, guarded around the clock by the Carabinieri, making it one of the safest places to stay in Rome. We will surely return to Hotel Navona for our next stay in Rome.

The staff were all very friendly and helpful. They were able to facilitate private transfer from the airport to the hotel for 7 people and 9 suitcases. You can purchase tickets for the "Hop on, Hop off" bus at the front desk as well. Maps of the city are available at the front desk and directions are provided. The location is midway between the Colosseum and Vatican. Most attractions are less than 15 minutes away when walking. They can have a taxi at the hotel within 5 minutes and they usually cost less than 18 euro for a trip that would take 30 minutes on foot. We could comfortably walk to the colosseum from the hotel with elderly parents who have bad knees. Bonus, we had coffee delivered to our room after a long day walking. That was very nice and unexpected. Breakfast costs 10 euro per person, which is the cheapest meal in town and the quality and quantity are aren't bad either. We left with a present of homemade jam. What a lovely gesture.

Upon arrival we were greeted by really friendly member of staff who confirmed our booking. We arrived a little earlier than check in which wasnt an issue at all; as they took our bags which would be taken to our rooms when ready- which was awesome and meant we were able to get out exploring straight away. The location is a big plus on this place (and why we booked it) literally 1 min away from the Pantheon and once you have your bearings, a short walk to Spanish Steps, Trev Fountain etc. Bus route super close too which we discovered on our last day to the main station.

The hotel was very central to the many places we wanted to visit in Rome. There was such a “buzz” in the area. We enjoyed the choice of eateries nearby and exploring the shops and browsing generally. We found Italian people to be friendly and kind. Needless to say Rome is a fabulous city. So many police about the tourist areas was reassuring as a result of a reputation for pickpocketing, ect. The hotel itself was ideal. It was more than adequate for the money, clean and reception was manned by Angelo who was a most competent host - all good.

Perfect location, you wont be disappointed right on the doorstep of Piazza Navonna, Pantheon and the Trevi Fountain. We walked to the Colosseum and Vatican comfortably. The Rooms are modern, generous size, really clean with a very comfortable bed, fridge, safe and air-con and a rainfall shower. Very close to so many restaurants and bars. The breakfast room room was small, but the food served was nice. We felt very safe walking the area day or night. I would definitely stay here again.
